Ringed Pins

Ringed Pins seem to have developed in Ireland, but by the Viking Age had spread throughout Northern Britain and Scandinavia.

There are a number of different types, characterised by the shape of the head (looped, baluster, polyhedral, etc) and ring (plain, looped, kidney shaped etc.)

Our Ringed Pins are of the Looped Head variety and have either Plain or Lozenge section rings.
